toothpaste? I have never heard this reason before. How would brushing your teeth make my pads sticky?

It probably is a combination of things, especially the weather. The weather always makes my pads sticky.

really really sticky pads

I have had this flute for about 3 years. My pads have always been sticky so I used some absorbing paper/cigarette paper to get rid of the stickyness. This worked fine until about 1 month ago. My pads get sticky after about 10 min of playing and cleaning them with paper isnt helping. I dont eat sugar...

jaw pain

I notice after a lot of practicing at home my jaw begins to hurt. Is this normal and is there anyway to prevent the pain or stop it quicker?

Thanks

when to take plugs out?

how long does it generally take before you can begin to take the plugs out of an open holed flute? I already feel fine with my right hand first finger does that mean I can start to take the plugs out? Also how long should I wait before I take the next plug out?

leaks?

how do you check your flute to see if there any leaks? I have always had my flute checked out by my friend but I just recently got a new flute and I want to make sure it doesn't have any leaks. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

high G on piccolo

For some reason I can not play a high G on piccolo I can play a high G# and A above it but not a high G. Also the high notes on piccolo seem to be extremely hard to play. Are there any tips for high notes speaking easier on the piccolo?

offset/inline G

First off sorry for all the questions lately. I am investing in a new flute and am wondering if my flute should have an inline of offset G. Currently mine is offset. Is there a reason to have offset/inline other than your personal prefrence? Thanks

I am able to get a clear sound of out the picc and everything but when I go to practice flute it takes longer to adjust to playing it again. Is there any way to ...
