Well thank you for the reply. And thank you for correcting my misunderstandment. I only wanted one because my flute teacher has said i should probably upgrade into a new flute.

In my first question i was simply asking
could a 9th grader play a muramatsu flute.

thank you for the reply. But i did already do my research. & that is how i came down to the two brands yamaha and muramatsu And i want an open hole flute because it can produce a better tone compared to the closed hole. Why do you think all the professionals have an open hole if they are no differen...

i am currently in 8th grade right now played since 4th grade. At band, i am 1st chair out of 25 flutes. So my flute teacher recommended me to get a open hole. Hello.
i am a 8th grader who is
1st chair of our 25 at my school band.
I am thinking of buying the open-hole
YAMAHA 371H allegro.
Would this flute last until i graduate??

If not, why? and do you recommend any other models?

hello! well i don't think a new head joint will do! It might help to get a open-hole flute but the main problem of the your sounds will be your skills. Solid silver will not make your skills better=) So just when you shoot for the high notes put out your bottom lip out and blow high up ! I hope this...
