I always eat bananas before and oboe or flute audition. I looked it up something in them helps u relax , and because my flute teacher said so! lol.

solo and ensemble festival

i got a 2 at the festival recently. its soo crazy how u can have a really good judge and a really bad judge. i got stuck with a really bad one. have any of you had like a judge that was sooo nitpicky that they docked u off 4 tappin ur toes? yea well i did! my adjudicator didn''t give me any comments...

I am playing bach sonate II in uh.. Eb major and mozart
concerto #2 in d allegro aperto. I think bachs like level 4 and mozarts level 5

It's alright to feel dissapointed. I tryed out for all-county band hoping for first chair flute. I got second. The judges can't really tell everything about how you auditioned! The person who got first chair was the adjudacators student and she was a complete kiss up. I was really mad but I got over...

Mozart?

I am working on the same piece! The last part of the first movement, the allegro aperto ends in a cadenza. The edition I have of it, edited by Rampal, you can slur alot. But there are many parts where you have to tongue it. I used touble tongueing. I'm having a lot of trouble getting it light enough...

Flute Duets

Currently I am playing a level 4 flute duet ( actually with
an oboe but thats okay) of Beethoven Allegro and Minuet. It's a great piece and
I recomend it as a funflute duet. Also you can find some flute duets in Rubank
Selected Duets books. Hope that helped![;)] kaity
