Alto flute beginner

Can folks recommend some nice, soothing solo music for a beginning alto flute player? To help you, my taste periodically gravitates towards the likes of haunting notes from the Native American flute and ancient sounds of the Celts (though I'm not sure if Celtic is slow ha ha). Selections 'inbetween' would be welcome also.
