Alto Opinion(s) wanted

Post by flutesong »

Would like to hear opinions, comments, critiques, praise, et al on an Artley Alto flute made in 1981. Don't yet know if it was made in Elkhardt or Nogales. What do you think?

It's rather old...are you going to service the pads and spring mechanisms?

I'd rather have a modern flute than a 30 year old one, unless you are acquiring it for either sentimental reasons, or perhaps, at a significant discount?

I haven't heard anyone play one recently - non-alto Artleys are more common.

Best regards.
