Flute and Social Media: A College Writing Investigation

Hello All,
As part of my writing class called "Connecting Through the New Media" I am researching how flutists around the world are communicating with each other via Social Media like FlutistsConnect, blogs, and other forums.

I have a few questions that I would like to ask to get some personal insight.

1.) How do you benefit from social media as a flute player?

2.) Do you believe that communication online has changed the way the flute community has developed?

3.) What is your view on professional blogs? Helpful? Annoying? Self-promoting?
