tired of being last

i am a new student at my school and they put me
last. in my school they have Jr High in the high school band which only causes
more fustration because im behind them i don''t like being last and evey time
i try to prove myself noone pays attention to me. Im sick of being behind
seventh graders who think there better than me when there not i was first at my
old school and i want that back again any advice on how i can prove myself

Do they have tests or auditions for chairs ? I have
heard that some schools test for chairs and others put the students by grade
level.In my daughter's school they test every week and then scores are averaged
and they are moved once per trimester. Could you talk to the band director and
find out what you need to do to improve. I will give you the same advice that I
give to my daughter...stop and think about why you play the flute. I know when
my daughter thinks about why she plays the flute and works on playing better for
herself and her own enjoyment, her happiness comes out in her playing. Kim

we have chair test at the end of each semester and
i am trying out for region band if i make it ill be the only flute from my
school to make it this year so... I just keep practicing sadly my musics hard
and the 20 mins i get with my band director every day we only get a few
mewasures done but its working
