Good Stuff Sarpay!

I wish people around here played progressive stuff like that. Here in the mid-western US, jazz that is regularly performed is more of a jam session reading out of a Realbook than a performance. If I have to play Blue Bossa, Satin Doll, or Foot Prints one more time I am gonna scream!

Thanks for sharing!

HEY!!!!!!! "SATIN DOLL IS COOL"!!!!!!!

Now "Blue Bossa" I agree with you, and surely "Girl from Ipanema" rates dishonorable mention :-)

Well, all of these songs are cool. Just over played. For once it would be nice to do a a gig and play stuff like Spain or Geraldine or better yet Hambone Steaksauce. People around here are to chicken to play anything progressive. Heck, I would even be satisfied with a tune like Sun Goddess or Angela(Theme to Taxi) or Blusette which are easy to play.

The Real Bppk is a blessing and a curse. People do not learn the tunes anymore and rely too much on the book. Then worse, since they do not know any of the cool stuff in it, or how it sounds, they pick the easy stuff.

Dont even get me started...LOL man do I miss jam sessions in L.A.!

Awesome playing Sarpay - looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.
What octave divider are you using? It tracks really well.

Love your ensemble. So much energy. Keep'n jazz alive. That was nice with the singer. I love doing that with the drummer. We play off one another's licks. Keep'm coming!! Kudos to the drummer and keyboards...real nice, and spicy. EXCITING!! Had me smiling big.
