Any ideas?

Post by blueheadphones »

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem. I just bought a new head joint for my piccolo. I previously had a plastic head, but decided to purchase a metal one. It came in the mail today, and I was so excited. It's exactly the same width as my old head joint, however, it refuses to go into my piccolo. Any tips to fix the problem?

Yep. See your local flute repair tech to get the tenon resized to fit your picc. It only takes a few thousandths of an inch difference between fitting or not. I doubt that your ruler is that accurate. :D Measurements have to be made with calipers or a micrometer.
