trumpet sounds, aolean sounds and jet whistling???

Post by omegasquarez »

I've been searching some flute sites for some fun things to practice on the flute and i stumbled upon those three at this site: www.sforzando.se/flutetech/05.htm

My question is... how the heck do you play these things??? When i do trumpet sounds, my lungs feel like they're collapsing. When i do jet whistling, i somehow lose all my balance and for aolean sounds- i dun get them?

Yeah, these are a little advanced and take some practice. First, maybe try flutter-tonguing, pitch-bending, or singing while playing!

I can flutter tongue :D but i never eard of pitch bending. And i can sing as i play (if the notes are in my vocal range that is) when i sing, i just hum notes from my throat and try to blow gently. My flute then acts as a voice synthesizer and sorta adds both sounds together. Is that singing while playing??? And HOW do i play those jet whistles??? I can do trumpet souds for middle C and D ONLY.
