All my life i have loved being beside some form of water, whether it be river, ocean, lake, dam, puddle

We aussies (especially those of us from the 'bush', love the outdoors and any excuse is better than none (speaking personally). Fishing is another hobby that i have so naturally i often find myself near water

So....during my 'fluting life', i have always had one form or another of water near my home.. for the last five years i have lived on the coast with the beach within sight of my front door.. New problems naturally, have arisen due to environmental factors... ie... salt and sand

As a consequence i only play my old silverplated armstrong when i am on or near the beach.. and leave the sterling silver armstrong at home.. I sacrifice the quality of my sound, for the pleasure of the open air. Some may gasp in horror at the idea of playing in such a flute unfriendly environment.. but what can you do

thoughts anyone????
