Intermediate flute help needed

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and needed some help with intermediate flutes. My son is starting high school next year and needs to upgrade his Yamaha 225 student flute. I have looked around some, but his instructor is requesting he get a full silver flute, split G and B foot.

I have looked at the:

Haynes Amadeus AF700 and
Yamaha Yfl-461h

Is one better than the other? Easier to play? Better sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Read the FAQ on the forum here, and try before you buy. There are MANY more brands in similar price ranges that offer equal or better features. Based on design and manufacturing processes alone, the Amadeus has a better headjoint.
