I just though I'd write a quick hello and tell you a bit about me to get the whole "lurking in the shadows" over and done with

My names Cathrine (it's like Catherine without the E in the middle), I'm from Norway, so please excuse my english.

I got my first flute when I was 11, a Jupiter something (can't really remember the model), we upgraded to a Trevor James Privilège II after a year seeing as the Jupiter didn't have a C foot-joint.
The Trevor James is my baby, even though it's tuned somewhat flat compared to the other flutes I play with and only partially playable

I'm shipping it off to my tech on tuesday to get an assessment of the damage and if it's worth fixing, or if it's time to move on...
Borrowing a Yamaha in the meantime.. And no offense to any owners of previously mentioned brand, but it's a complete horror to play! It's way too heavy, and doesn't sound right at all

An upgrade isn't the worst thing though, I'd love a flute with open holes, silver-plated body, silver head-joint, offset G, C foot-joint and a D#roller.. Rawr!

Except from that it's worth mentioning that i currently play in Norway's 3rd oldest marchingband! (YAY!), and in 2012 we'll be 140 years old!

And before that I drove 2 hours a week, just to play with a band, so there's no lack of entusiasm over getting to play with people

I also love making new friends *hinthint*
