Jupiter 1011 Series diMedici Flute
I just bought a Jupiter 1011 Series diMedici Flute. While I'm very excited because I've been playing the same Emerson since 7th grade (i'm a senior now), some things have been quite bothersome. Do any of you own a diMedici? The embouchure hole seems quite square compared to all the flutes I've ever ...

Teaching Vibrato...?
Hey everyone. Recently I've began to help the flute players at my old middle school(I'm in 11 grade now). With the 8th graders, the band director wants me to teach them vibrato. Today while I was there I did the best to teach them using some of the hints my private lessons instructor gave me, but ou...

But I mostly just play it for fun once and awhile because we have a piano in our living room. I mostly just play disney and movie so...

Danse De La Chevre
I'm working on this piece for solo and ensemble this year. I just got it so I'm doing pieces of it at a time, and for some reason, in measure 7 I'm having some trouble. The rhythm is fine I just can not get my fingers moving between those low register notes. Has anyone played this before and have an...

hi. i play oboe at my church orchestra (just for a change from flute twice a week). Church music is normally fairly simple. If you are playing with the choir singing along, there will probably be alot of sharps. Church has helped me not only on oboe but music in general. I find myself no longer scar...

my flute turns me black.....
i would suggest using regular cloths (ie. part of
and old, CLEAN, shirt or something) to wipe your flute clean. the chemicals on
the cloth go onto your flute and make your chin black and has more of an effect
when you have makeup on. plus, regular cloths work much better and dont cost
that much!

Marching
yes it does. because it is much harder to march while keeping
your fingers on the holes, and the pads get ruined faster. also, open holded
flutes are most of the time really expensive, so marching with it wouldnt be too
good of an idea.

Scale Practice
In florida for all-state and all-county we have to
tounge up, slur down on the scales and arpeggios in 2 min. or less.
