I know here in SC, we have region and if you make the top 8 chairs for flutes, you get all state callbacks which in turn lets you try out for all state band.

For Chaminade, I played the beginning at around 66 bpm, the vivo at around 112 bpm, and the ending around 140 bpm. And btw it's Concertino not Concerto......

Last year for our Spring Concert, at the picc solo in Stars and Stripes all of the flutes in our Wind Ensemble pulled out piccolos. It was great, and very very loud.... 2 wooden piccs, and 6 marching piccs.... lovely...
