I practice scales out of the Taffanel and Gaubert daily 17 exercises. Also I use the Moyse Daily Studies and Altes and Andersen Etudes.

oh by the way, by no means am I saying that I think I will get into Curtis. It is VERY likely I will not, but I am just wondering the repertoire that will help me most in getting in.

University of Southern California has a wonderful flute studio. The teacher, Jim Walker, also teaches at Colburn which has been recently called the "Curtis of the west coast."
