we would class a fife as a wooden flute with no keys wot i am looking for is a 5 or 6 key wooden flute tuned to Bb. In Northern Ireland and main land Britain ther is people making such flutes which i know of. Looking at the members list on this forum and the different parts of the world they live in...

Bb marching flutes
is ther any members outside the uk that can tell me if they have any links to Bb flute makers in ther country? ie maybe the usa i have seen bands from there using wooden flutes wot are they and who makes them ?

the problem is i teach a marching flute band and i find when we play indoors the band plays at a steady beat but when we are marching on the street i find we play at a faster pace ie 120beats to the min which is way to fast i was thinking that if i brought the metronom to the practice it would give ...

METRONOM
Does any one know wot the setting on a metronom would be if i was playing a flute march in 2-4 timing and wot would it be if i was playing in 6-8 timing
