Re: Unknown Miyazawa MS-100S

I'm not sure, but the MS-95s is a student model, solid silver head, nickel silver body from 20+ years ago. Could it be a different version, eg offset vs inline G, or a solid silver body instead of plated? Or maybe the model that replaced the 95s?

Mystery flute - help point me in the right direction!

I got a flute at Goodwill, and I would love to know more about its history. The issue is that there is no brand. I was hoping someone here with knowledge of makers and history could help. I'll list what I know so far, but I also uploaded pictures to imgur for reference: https://imgur.com/gallery/ZfA...

Thanks for the info. I just got a Pearl 765, and I love it!! I figured it was a student machine cut head joint, but at least in my opinion, it sure doesn't play like one!

Pearl head joints

Hello all!

Does anybody know what head joint comes on the Pearl Quantz 765? I know it shares the same head joint as the 665, but beyond that I have no idea. I found head joint info for the Dolce line and up, but no info on the Quantz and "Quantz 505" series. Thanks!!

Welcome to the message boards! I am new here too, and recently went through a similar problem you did. I played for 14 years, then had a two year hiatus, and had awful tone at first. I have found that airy tones are caused by one of several things - Firstly, your embouchure may just not be focused e...

I am new to the message boards here, but I will go ahead and add in my two cents as well. I just recently purchased a Yamaha flute, and any of their models can be ordered with offset or inline G, depending on what you want. For example, the 481H is an inline with a B foot, and the 461H is the exact ...

F2 through B2?

Hello, I am new to the message boards here. My name is Aimee, and I had played flute and piccolo for 13 years prior to falling off the music bandwagon a few years back. I am now beginning to play again, and I am experiencing some difficulties that I hope someone may be able to help with. While my pi...
