too much recorder = bad flute embouchure?

I notice that I sound like * when I play my flute right after my recorder. Am I damaging my flute embouchure by playing recorder, or is it just temporary fatigue?

I think your second piece should be something older than Faure; he sort of spans romantic and modern. Mozart isn't a bad idea, but predictable. Haydn, maybe.

What speed do you like for this piece? I think 40 to the quarternote is the minimum, and 45 is about perfect.

Listening to Pahud play this concerto -- I don't think one should have to double-tongue to reach that tempo, or even slightly faster.

Do you rate the pieces in the 'Flute Music by French Composers' compendium "advanced"? If you don't have the book, it includes Cecile Chaminade's Concertino Op.107, Gabriel Faure's Fantaisie, and things in that vein. I would have called them advanced, but on youtube it seems like every eight year ol...
