I've done some some research and I think it's more like Sherry Winston, Valarie King or Bobbi Humphrey. That's in terms of age band really. The tune I'm after was more jazzy, but downbeat. King and Winston seem to be more into the Najee smooth-jazz style and Bobbi Humphrey is more funky. I'll try to...

Who's that jazz flute player

that I heard her on Radioio Jazz 4 years ago. I wrote her name down and search her on the internet, but she had very little online exposure.
I believe she's middle-age (if still alive) and African American and that she plays the flute exclusively.

Any clues?

Thanks a lot for all the advice.
I'm going to buy a new flute! As to finding a professor, I think it's impossible because I only practise in the morning (7am to 8am) or late in the evening. But I'll keep on reading the info you've posted. The 2.0 recap was very useful!
