Flute issue

I have a Yahama 461H flute. I was playing in my community band last night when I felt a pop and it didn't want to play right. I realized that the screw at the end of the rod had popped out. (The shorter rod at the top end near the head joint.) I got it screwed back in and it did fine the rest of th...

I can't say much because it's been nine years since HS for me...... but I did play this my senior year and loved the piece. It wasn't the easiest thing but I really liked it. (only 1st band played it. We had three bands and out of 25 flutes total, I was 3rd chair first band.)

Have fun with it!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out and it didn't affect my playing at all. I wasn't able to play for a few days for fear of dry socket but.....

Good luck with the new flute!

I have played both and I like the offset myself. I also have short fingers so it makes it a bit easier. Congratulations on the flute! :D

James galway has a master class video on YouTube about vibrato http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0yCw9xm0E4 Yea, that's a good video. I learned vibrato just from playing over time but personally vibrato is best in slower pieces when flute has the melody. Low to mid range is where I like it best.

I personally think G is the easier one. My favorite one in those lines in hearing is the Concerto in D. I also like the 3rd movement in Concerto in C.

(He was retired from it all) I started off with a student Artley then an Armstrong 80B and now a Yahama 461-H I like the Yahama but I wante...
