Pratice without the instrument?

I just sent my flute in and it was the only one I have. I won't get it back for another week. Is there anything I can do for practice until I get my flute back?

Buying flute question

Is it better to buy a flute online or at the music store? I'm want to get a Yamaha 471. In Anchorage we have a Yamaha Dealership but I saw some flutes on http://www.wwbw.com/ and it was a little cheaper than the one at the store.

Color on Instrument

What does the paint or coloring of the flute change. Is there a change. Why would someone get a blue or red flute, other than it looks nice?

Does anyone have a review on the Resona by Burkart? I saw it on a website but I haven't heard it and the music store where I'm at hasn't even heard of them.

I was never taught how to care for my instrument. I heard that you can polish your instrument, oil it, and do all sorts of things I need to do to it. I curently am just wiping out the moisture with a cloth attached to a string, and I have a padsaver. I do have a polishing cloth but I have never used...

Resona by Burkart

Hello, I just wondering if anyone has heard of the Resona 200 by Burkart? If you have and you have tried it out, what kind of flute is it like and what rating would you give it. 1 being terrible and 20 being absolutly amazing.
