2011 Florida Flute Convention

I can't believe it's been almost a year already since my first flute convention! Boy, I really feel I have come a long way in my flute playing abilities, and it sure has been an interesting year!

SO!! Anyone else attending this year?

See you there!

Re: I'm searching for a nice Piccolo!

I just a few seconds ago received my pic in the mail!! I am so excited!! I was playing on (at home only) a Bundy Prelude and just got a Yamaha YPC-62. I couldn't get above an E3 on the Bundy but right away got to an A3 on the Yamaha (it plays like warm honey butter melting on a homemade buttermilk b...

You can try up to four different headjoints from Flute World at a time. I am primarily a sax player and since picking the flute back up in Nov. '09 ( I had a 684 Yamaha with the EC cut headjoint) I had a horrible time playing or blowing and getting the sound I longed for. In January, I bought the Ya...

I have the 674 H with the 'K' HJ and just love it! Before this flute I had the 684 and am so much happier now b/c the 674 has the offset G and split E.

:)

Good luck with your new flute!

Nestor Torres, he's a Latin flautist. And there's Greg Pattillo too with his 3 piece group (Project Trio). :)

But these are more modern, smooth jazz (Torres) and funky outside the box (Pattillo), but a couple of my fav's nonetheless!

I did end up going back for the Yamaha! It is a 221 too and the sounds is just beautiful! Really different compared to the Jupiter and it feels more responsive in my hands too. SO! I think I'm going to stick with the Yamaha and return the Jupiter.

Thank you for your help!!
