No I don't think so because moving the cork could really change your tone and tuning. Just be super careful when getting close to the cork. And if u do move the cork ask your band director or someone to help you fix it. Then they can put the cork where it should be.

Well I still have probelms with scales... But what i have found most helpful is starting w/ the first note say C for example and C then B then back to C then to B then to D , etc. I would recomend starting slow and then once u get the hang of it go faster.... DON'T STRESS IT JUST MAKES YOU MESS UP M...

Vibrato

I am having probelms with vibrato. I only seem to get it when I am so scared my lips are trembling :oops: .... I can double tongue well but when it comes to vibrato I can't seem to get it.....

3k not bad for a flute in high school.......... wish i had had that much, lol.
But i have found the Gemeinhardt works the best for me... Experiment and try each flute out....

It also depends the posture in which you are playing your flute..... I found that if it points to the floor it feels differnet weight than when it is out straight.....

I have been playing since I was in 6th grade... I am now a junior in high school... I have lessons every thrusday and practice about every other night... I am looking for a challenge, lol.
