This is a Solid silver open hole b foot.....Ser # is 125...written on the barrel How old is this flute???? The lady who owns it thought she bought it new in the 70's I have a hard time believeing this ...the flute looks like it could be built MUCH earlier than this. On the Barrel its engraved KURT G...

I have a Lamberson HJ for a C flute
It came with my 1980"s Sankyo "artist" model flute that i picked up used
There is a Jack Moore headjoint that came along as well that i prefer.
If anyone would like this HJ ...i would sell it for $500.

Good point...i may not like the HJ ....I play an an Altus 807. I'm primarily a saxophonist who plays flute . Although the flute playing in gigs and practicing in the last couple of years has been trumping the sax. At the same time the Muramatsu arrived i recieved a Haynes commercial flute from 1948 ...

The Powell flute i repadded was built in 1977 ....it was built with traditional felt pads.
I brought it back to traditional...and for some reason i can not explain...it seems to play 'bigger"
i noticed it..and when the owner started playing it, that was her remark as well...kinda spooky!

Looking at possible purchase of a Muramatsu M120 from the early 90's silver head..plated body. Anyone familiar "playing experience with this model? i'm playing an Altus 807 and i'm looking for more tone!... I like to play Jazz standards..my favorite sounds on flute come from Frank Wess.. Yes, try it with some tape first to see if you like it.
I also use the Bo pep finger LH rest as well.
