some people also seem to suggest to learn french

i always thought that playing it the hard way is better...from last week i decided to use my right pointy finger for Bb (it makes it easier to trill from Bb to B)

but it comes out as nothing with the Bb thumb fingering though on F...i suppose i wasn blowing properly enough anyways..thanks

can anyone suggest any other pieces to play for an orchestra audition for second or third flute piece...something that isnt too hard or too easy...

about grade 8/7 level

i meant...the trill for Bb on the 6th ledger line above the staff to C (next to it) ...

could anyone tell me how to refer to these notes properly

more talk of the school bands make me really wana go america...not that it will help seeing as im 17 and finishing hi school.. :oops: but really im so amazed at huge bands..especially as they gather together practicing..its a huge musical community..oh wait hang on..it is a huge musical community......

how would u trill the B of the 3rd 8ve...in passages where it requires Bb and C4...im quite not sure myself

i can double tongue single notes but i cant douible tongue scales and such

im getting frustrated

my tongue isnt the most flexible part of my body so i use the gargling method i train when i brush my teeth

i only had problems with my open holes when u was trying out flutes in the shop but when i got home i took them all out because my friend told me so (im such a push over) and although there were some in the first 10 minutes..i managed to play every scale and music i got without occasionaly leakage.....

hi im new to this forum and i just want to say that i particularly revere the american bands.. over here in london, we got none..'cause our schools are really not that much into music..although there are some really good schools like cardinal vaughn but over all there isnt much of a good music band ...
