Re: m.Zentner Piccolo emergency

I'm currently making a new one with the help of a machinist that has good lathes.
We will possibly have to do more than one to get a winner ;-)
Thanks for your words!

Re: m.Zentner Piccolo emergency

Thanks Fluteguy! I've succesfully done it before for a R.H. Yamaha flute rod that had 3 pin holes. The big difference in this case is that the end hole is conical (to match the L.H. screw rod). I sure can give it a try, but it will take me sometime and the customer is really in need of the instrumen...

m.Zentner Piccolo emergency

Guys, I'm in an emergency here with a Zentner piccolo.
Thing is the L.H. steel rod is broken (the one where G, G#, A and Bb keys go). I don't have a precision lathe to make another one.
If anyone has this in spare, pleeeeease let me know.
S.N. is 4419.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Re: Flute pad cleaning during COA

Good points here! ;-) I do clean pads during C.O.A. It makes easier when I do the adjustments. I use just water. If this alone isn't capable of deeply cleaning a pad, so I just leave it alone and do the next one. Anyway the important thing is to remove the excess durty. Cleaning often is a good way ...

Re: A flute for Consignment

I would suggest JLSmith (www.jlsmith.com)

Talk to Jeff Smith (Owner). I know him personally and I think he must be also a good option for your need.

Re: Sankyo flutes and warranty work

Lawrence Lee is not the distributor for Sankyo USA anymore. (over a year) Sankyo is being distributed through Miyazawa. Ask for Liz.. Really? Thanks! I had no idea. Sorry for giving the wrong information! Anyway, I had a Sankyo before my current Nagahara and I just loved it! Truly. I wanted a flute...

Re: Trouble with high G# and F#

Most probably your flute will really need a revision. After you accomplish that, take some weeks of regular daily long note practice before you blame yourself. Another important thing, in my opinion, should be taking lessons.

Re: Sankyo flutes and warranty work

Has anybody here had experience in the US with repairing a Sankyo flute under warranty? Does it go to Sankyo, or to the vendor where it was bought? I think you should contact directly Sankyo America in the person of Mr. Lawrence Lee. He is actually the distributor and also works with Sankyo mainten...

Re: Message board down

Indeed it is happening frequently with me too.

It just did and I tried to clear cookies and history in my browser, which didn't work.

Now, a few minutes later, I'm here...

It can be many kinds of problems, but most likely resides on the server side and around it.
