Apologies; my question about using a keyboard amp for amplification of my flute.

I have a Roland Cube 40 amp for keyboard that I bought used to amplify my flute, and I'm using an Audix microphone. I'm not getting much volume out of the amp unless I turn it up to between 8 and 10. I think it's a 40 watt amp, so is it just not enough? Having to crank it up that high doesn't give m...
