BUT what can I do to remove the airyness?

okay, wtf is wrong with my tone. when I go to school, my band period starts at 11:30 something. when I play, & do my warm ups, I sound SO AIRY. which is sad because I'm first chair in my top band. (we have band before lunch) but then as soon as I come home, do my warm ups, my tone is good, not airy ...

okay, so I'm int the 8th grade, got a azumi flute 6 months ago.
somehow I sound really airy.. or certain times. & people say the azumi brand is REALLY good.
is it just me, or what?
anyways, our old last year 1st flute, had a trevor james flute.
she was AMAZING. oh, I'm 1st chair too btw
