That's fantastic. The Q was not an "audit" but merely for my own awareness. Love the disciplined approach that is espoused in all you do in the trades, vocation, industry et cetera. I do recognise their importance. My exposure in these matters are v ltd as my background is more data related of the n...

Re: industry OH&S stds for protection from LT prolonged expo

@Gandalfe : Righty, thanks Quinn, they do get impossibly large don't they even for the flute not to mention the clarinet and the sax!
Which size do you have?

@JButky: Hm, yes need to refer for each and every chemical?

Re: Flute pad cleaning during COA

I only clean the pads when there's dirt or build up (guck as you say) on it, when the pad is too new to replace. And I use Pad Juice fr JLS. - minimally applied from the applicator cloth which is gentle, lintfree yet provides enough "friction" to grab the guck. - Only because I would like to think i...

industry OH&S stds for protection from LT prolonged exposure

[Preamble] Good day fluteland, and it literally is. Finally a stretch of moderate brilliant spring days in the southern hemishere. Thought it a good time to break the hibernation and get back on board romancing the flute. Glad to read that all is well with everybody. [Meat] Just wondering if hobbyis...

Re: Has anyone any experience with musicmedic?

Hindsight: Omg... made such a mountain out of a molehill.

Lesson: Always expect the best from people, even on a bad day.

Perspective: Musicmedic does a tremendous service in the industry and really ought to be cheered on.

Curt is incredibly professional in his approach and has an amazing offering.

Re: Dentwork, metal work - hammers, burnishers and the like

It will not affect how the sax plays. I suspect that because it's mis-aligned its binding on the pivot screws, or zap post has moved as well To straighten simply tap it flat against a flat surface with a rawhide hammer A post is dented in and I totally missed that! Seems that the point of impact wa...

Re: Dentwork, metal work - hammers, burnishers and the like

Nice fingernail, how does one repair with nails like that. That's why I haven't... yet. The kink is very noticeable, but you are also working with a solid tube there, not a hinged tube. I know matt he does good work To repair something like that bell you charge by the hour, I estimate it ...

Re: Dentwork, metal work - hammers, burnishers and the like

Straightening a rod can be achieved with a battery drill and a hole in your hammer, most of my hammers have various sized holed drilled into the handle for this purpose It is far easier but just to make another rod and cut a thread accordingly Straightening a hinge tube is a knack, its understandin...
