Powell Aurumite vs Aurumite II
Hello! Just need some feedback about the Powell Aurumite II Headjoints. There is one being offered and am wondering if they are great or what, it raises questions because they were so short lived. We are currently using a Haynes Classic Fusion fitted with a Powell Aurumite HJ (9K Gold/Silver). From ...

Re: Metal V.s Wood Piccs
My son is the piccolist. He started with a student, all metal Gemeinhardt, then when it was time to upgrade, he tried dozens of flutes, mostly wooden. Long story short, a Burkart (BP+E) Professional, (Grenadilla) with a modified wing lip, is what he chose. A few months later we were looking to upgra...

Lip Plate Engraving
Hello There, My son wants his lip plate engraved, mainly to minimize his lip slipping. I'm on eastern coast of USA, and just need some leads to engravers. The big thing is, its for my "Son", so we have to keep it kinda, lets say, non-floral. Someone mentioned an Eagle, which sounds good, but I would...

Re: Haynes Classic Fusion
Thanks for the replies!
The flute sounds great with the Powell HJ, it just worked out that way. The Powell has the Philharmonic lip plate which works very well with him. The Flute itself, plays nice and easy for him.

Haynes Classic Fusion
My son just got a Haynes Classic Fusion flute (9k fused) matched with a Powell Aurumite (9k fused) headjoint. Just looking for feedback from anybody who knows these flutes. He tried out dozens of flutes / headjoints, some way out of our budget (solid gold...), but this one sounds like some of the mu...

Re: Piccolo headjoints - do they make a difference?
My son plays a Burkart Professional, it originally came with a (Grenadilla) wave headjoint, It is an awesome sounding Piccolo as it was. We went to JB Weissman to try out Flute headjoints, and before leaving, we tried a few of his handmade Piccolo headjoints, well the last one he tried, was a Cocobo...
