There's really no need to invest in such gadgets, IMHO. You can play and watch your tuning on any tuner without difficult . DFlute, learning to adjust with your air can be difficult, but is worth the effort. Keep doing the tuner work to the point that you're comfortable that your pitch is correct, ...

Just reading some of these stories really inspires me. Not just because they are learning how to play the flute at later points in life but because I can take the basic morals out of these stories and fulfill my life with them. I thank eveyone of them.

I also own a gemeinhardt. Maybe my flute is just weird, but my flute tends to play sharp if anything. I agree that the Gemeinhardt flute doesnt bend any easier than others. I just personally believe that it is a good quality flute for a reasonable price.

I agree with what everyone else has been saying. Your director is there to tell you things, not you tell him what he should do. Maybe you can look into helping your fellow flute players with playing. Kind of like a tutoring type class. You want your section to be as good as you, right? Do something ...

In my band, the students always say that the metronome is possessd. I personaly think that it is a musicans best friend. No matter how annoying it can be, it is always there when you need something to help you. Kinda like what a "best friend" would do, would'nt you say?
