Versatile Musicians, anyone?

I'm usually in the pit orchestras in the town I'm from, so since it's woodwinds all the time, I specialize in flute/picc, recorders( sopranino, soprano, alto and tenor), clarinet/bass clarinet, oboe, and saxophones. I also play piano, but have not had as many calls to play it as of lately. I have al...

Just thought I'd say hey(again)!

It's been forever since I have been on here but thought I'd say hey! I have also been able to upgrade my flute in the past couple of years, and found a set up that works for me :)

Personally, the Venus I got in july is actually pretty good, and it doesn't need any work. I'm not suggeting going out to get one because not all of them are good, but I sure there are a few. But, if you do, just hope for the best.

Okay, I've wiped the lip plate where the tarnish was and then wiped it again with a dy cloth and there's no more tarnish!

Tarnish

I have a solid silver headjoint, and it has tarnish on the lip plate. Is there anything I can do to prevent more tarnish? And yes, I do clean my flute after I'm finished playing, if that helps!

Fluteguy18, yeah I guess I have a full plate. But, highschool this year is driving me insane( I'm a sophomore), so I haven't had much time to keep up on some on my instruments(especially saxes) but usually I try to have a routine of practicing!

Yeah, it's a really good forum! Plus, for me flute isn't the best out of my wwodwind instruments, so I decided to use this forum more often because it's only flute oriented.

Hi!

Hi, I'm Mike, and I've been reading the awesome posts on here for a while and decided to join. I've been playing flute for 4 years, and picc. for 5 months. Some of you guys might know me from 8notes or SOTW( since flute and picc. aren't my main instruments!) So, hi!
