c foot or b
Hi everyone , I gave my yamaha away and just bought a new beautiful mura ex , I wanted the b foot but the vendor had only one sample with b foot but quite a few with c , the c foot I chose was much nicer in tone than the b foot (obviously the main result due to the HJ), so I took it home but he will...

Re: Yamaha 421: Has anybody got anything to say about this f
I've been with my yamaha 574 for some time now and I'm very happy with it , I tried out various yamahas before I decided on this one, I felt it was much superior to the 421 tone-wize, obviously ,mainly due to the EC hj, which I also put on a 421 , but somehow the 574 and EC hj played better for me ,...

Re: Pearl flutes
I just wanted to conclude this thread by saying that after going back and forth between the two stores in comparing the yamaha 574 and Mura EX , I found it more more difficult to choose . I bought the 574 at the end , as I couldnt see that great a differennce between them to justify the extra cost o...

Re: Yam 261 vs Armstrong 80-BT
I also asked advice on choosing a new flute In the Pearl flutes, but decided to try out the Yamaha 574 with EC HJ. somehow I didnt like the sankyo 301 and also 201 , I felt the Muramatsu was far superior all in all over the Sankyo. , The Pearls (665, 695 and 795) had a nice sound but somehow not so ...

Zevang , I also mentioned in another thread, but after more test driving various flutes, The mura E is really an incredible flute especially its articulation potential , and thats with the ordinary HJ .

Re: Pearl flutes
Thanks guys , I think I've finally set my mind for the Mura , Its really an awesome flute, What also helped me make my decision is what you, evrmre, mention about the Yamaha which I felt exactly the same , I thought it was just me but you also mention it . Luckily they have 2 Muras to choose from. A...

Re: Pearl flutes
I made a second round of store visits yesterday to try out Sankyo 201 , pearl models 665 695, Mura ex, and Yamaha 574 and felt I made such stupid remarks in my previous message especially concerning the Mura EX Firstly , I felt there were no great differences between the various Pearl models and wha...

Re: Sankyo cf201-muramatsu EX, which one?
Zevang, I just wanted to drop in for a sec to say that I listen to you ryoutube recordings form time to time , and I think that regardless of the flute you play your sound is always beautiful and you are IMHO very musical . I also thought from these recordings that I preferred the mura config, which...

Re: When will the "light come on" with my embouchure?
Hi Deidre I quite empathise with your feeling and possible frustration(?) as I went through similar approach to the flute . I am also an older student but had played the bassoon many years before, I started about 6 years ago with a good teacher but somehow she couldnt pinpoint my problem in producin...

I see youve tried out the ex and gx 's , in your experience , is there any difference in sound between the Ex and the GX , I would like to believe there is as the GX is silver body and should have some more resistance
I have the ex , but woudl look to upgrade to eitherGX or DS
Thanks
