I'm not sure. Look at the regulations. Usually a
magazine will say something like: Does not ship to other countries or only
Canada and U.K something like that. I hope you can get it!

This song?
Has anyone ever heard of or played this song? Allegretto Grazioso from Sonata "La Persane" Composed by: Philbert de Lavigne I''d like to know what level it is (I''m playing it now) because I don''t know if it''s "hard" enough for me to play it as a solo at school next year. I''ve almost got it down ...

Help with audition pieces.
I'm not so much help as far as pieces go but I can say that if you're used to playing in a band and not an orchestra, your tone and sound is going to have to be altered. Orchestra's sound much different from bands (duh, lol). Orchestra's are much softer and it takes 7 orchestra instruments to equal ...

Flat trills?
I was wondering one day during band. . . Are there trills for flat/sharp notes? And if so...does it go from one flat to the next (i.e Ab-Bb), or does it go from the flat to the immediate next note (i.e. Ab-B)? I believe there ARE trills for flats and sharps because I have a piece of music which is a...

2nd octave...
It's not so much of making the air stream smaller as it is making sure all of the air gets into the tone hole. Also, try not to overblow (blowing to forcefully). If your trying to play E3 I want to give you a head's up, it's the hardest note to play accurately, in tune, and consistently on the flute...

Step up?
At about what level or years of flute playing do you think is appropriate to move up to a more advanced flute. The next flute I''m planning on getting is going to have open holes, B foot and (possibly) a solid silver lip plate. The problem is I don''t know WHEN I should get it. Should I get it high ...

used it as their first flute. It is closed hole offset G (if you don't know
what that means ask) and C foot.

Musical Career?
For some of the fluter players of the younger generation. . . Do you ever aspire to have a musical career? For example performing for a living or becoming a band director? Or repairing instruments or composing music. I myself might want to consider becoming a band director though the whole career th...

Do you practice sitting or standing ?
I practice standing but of course one of
the reasons is because my chair is piled with clothes! But I do rather like
practicing standing up because I don't have to worry so much about posture and
I can switch music easier because I can just lean over and grab it instead of
having to get up. . .

Was the flute your choice or was it chosen for you ?
For our school system, 4th grade students are allowed to pick 3 instruments (from band or orchestra) that they are interested in playing. They get to try playing instrument to see how it feels. The following instruments were the ones that I had to choose between becuz I wasn't allowed to play someth...

[quote] ---------------- On 3/18/2004 1:34:17 PM I was wondering if some of you could answer a couple of questions for me. Are you in a Middle/Jr High Band? How many students are in your school band? intro yourself and your accomplishments
I've previously played the alto saxophone for two years and have been playing the flute for almost two years. As for accomplishments, I haven't gotten much of a music career to get any! But I did get two 1st places at my school's solo and ensemble contest (one for my solo and the other for my duet)
