Jaw problem
Wow, I guess this is a common problem with flute players, because I also have tmj. It is very uncomfortable, but I continued to play and it has gotten a little better. It did have a very bad flare up when I started playing piccolo though. I'll have to go to my doctor and ask him about mouthgaurds an...

Piccolo question
That's the same kind of piccolo i play! I have a few tips for playing piccolo: 1) Ombeture: this may sound silly, but you should try to think of frowning when you are playing piccolo. Your mouth should not be upwards in a smiling position, but angled more downwards. You should also think about press...

how much diffrent is a flute form a Piccolo?

Jaw Pain
I find that i sometimes have a pain in my jaw, a feeling that it is very
tense. I was thinking that it might be from playing the flute so much and was
wondering is any of you have experienced this jaw pain. If so, have you found
anything that helps it? Aaren S.

help with brand names for piccolo purchase!!
I went through the exact same thing that you did when trying to purchase my piccolo off of ebay. The first one that i purchased was a brand that I'd never heard of (Maestro) and ended up being very cheap and poorly made. I bought another piccolo that was a used gemienhardt and have been very pleased...
