I lovvvvvvvvvvve the clarinet. what a mellow sound. When i was deciding which instrument to play (back in the 70's), it was a real toss up between them both.. I chose the flute.. but it was the love of those mellow clarinet sounds that has kept me in the lower registers of the flute for more than 30...

:lol: Ian Anderson.. What a legend.. Both he and James Galway were absolute idols of many of us in the 70's who were 'flautically' :) obsessed. (optimist that i am heheh) I first picked up the flute in 1975 whilst doing my BA at Latrobe University (Australia). I borrowed a sterling silver armstrong and hyperventil...

In a way i would expect that there would be quite a few right brained people out there. aint we just an interesting bunch lol. Seriously though it takes a good balance between right and left brain to be both creative...

Yes I am left handed also . Have never had a problem .. been playing 31 years..
