flute versus clarinet
I lovvvvvvvvvvve the clarinet. what a mellow sound. When i was deciding which instrument to play (back in the 70's), it was a real toss up between them both.. I chose the flute.. but it was the love of those mellow clarinet sounds that has kept me in the lower registers of the flute for more than 30...

Ian Anderson - what a legend!!!!
 Ian Anderson.. What a legend.. Both he and James Galway were absolute idols of many of us in the 70's who were 'flautically' :) obsessed. Just his name brings back one of my favourite concert experiences of the 70's. I had the absolute joy to see Jethro Tull live at Kooyong Tennis Courts in Me...

James Galway
Just gotta say that James Galway (excuse the lack of 'Sir') was the one person who inspired me to pick up a flute in 1975. He is an absolute 'hero' , my inspiration.. truly! I know that i certainly am not 'robinson crusoe' (aussie humor) In the seventies there were alot of hippies wand...

Playing by water
:D Hi all... just back from a beautiful couple of hours 'tooting' at my usual spot by the ocean.. All my life i have loved being beside some form of water, whether it be river, ocean, lake, dam, puddle  ...and playing my flute.
