Wrist Pain/Swelling

I have been practicing a lot the past few months because I am in several different groups, plus I am preparing for college auditions and Solo and Ensemble. About a week ago, I stopped practicing because of pain in my wrists (this has happened on several occasions) and realized my wrists were swollen...

I have played it on several occasions just in case it sounds like she is using way to much air, but when I tell her to use a smaller appachure and/or to puch her chin out just a bit the note usually doesnt come out or sounds very bad in case it does tie in to air support, etc...

I have been working on Poem for a few months now for college auditions and solo and ensemble. Since I am getting the technical side pretty well now, I need to start working on the musicality (?). Usually, when I am working on a solo and I reach this step I start listening to a bunch of recordings an...

Lessons - bad tone

I have a new student that absolutely LOVES playing flute and is constantly trying to learn new music, but she is stuck at last chair because she is always flat (I don't think this is going to be too hard to fix, she never pushes her head joint in for enough haha) and because she has an airy sound. A...

Yeah i remember when i played Kokopelli for one of the instructors, she asked me why i played the piece the way i did. When I told her that I had listened to recordings and pulled pieces I liked out of them, she was really impressed. So that makes sense. Ok.. Thank you!
