Who plays in an orchestra?
Orchestra - a large body of
instrumentalists. Yes! A band is an orchestra. However, I'm referring to the
orchestra in the 'Baroque/Classic/Romantic sense. You know, strings, woodwind
etc. So, what has been some of your favourite music you've played in your
orchestra?

Would it be the same thing? Do you have 'exams' in the states? For instance we have the Australian Music Examina...

Yep. Was at the time. Teaching myself (I'm a piano/keyboard/singing teacher) You know it's not the quantity of time, it's the quality[;)] Once I know more than four notes I may even increase the time to four or five minutes at a time[:praise:] [] Okay, my delivery might be a bit cheeky, but i...

Syrinx?????
I just went to the link above and heard it. I love Debussy.
I play quite a few of his piano works. Knowing the mythological story helped
visualise the piece. Has anyone ever played it with string or piano
accompaniment?

Good on you Kendall, that's wonderful that you want to help your sister play. I say go for it! Rhythm games are wonderful, your tambourine game sounds great. Keep it up. Include clapping games, and don't forget to sing songs - very important for this age group, and also develops pitch and builds up ...

The relative minor mmmm. The main 'sound' difference between C major and A minor will be the G sharp instead of the G. For a more dramatic differnce, try using the tonic relative i.e go from C major to C minor. That way you can play a similar melody but instead of playing E, you now play Eflat. Inst...

Nice layout
I've been to other forums and I have to say, yours is one
of the nicest layouts. It's very well organised, very attractive and very easy
to read. I like the simplicity of it. It looks fresh and easy to follow. Nice
colour choices. Well done[:)]
