Is the "Boston style" of the Powell headjoint an o

The official website of Powell didn't introduce the Boston style, but Philharmonic, Soloist and Venti.
Is it the Boston style less favourable? :?:

Sterling Silver with 14K Gold Riser $1,420
Aurumite 14K with 14K Gold Riser $1,620
Sterling Silver with 14K Gold Lip & Riser $2,100

I wonder the amount of gold in aurumite is very less, because of the price......$200.

$1800 Powell headjoint into an Armstrong? Why? You could buy a Sonare<Bleck!>(At least the mechanism is at least as good if not better than any Armstrong I ever played). You would get the Powell headjoint, and a new flute for that!!!!!! The only way this makes sense is if you already have the headj...

An unmatch powell headjoint with other flute?

I like the sound of powell headjoint.
Are there any problem if the powell headjoint is 'modified' to fit with other flute, or vise versa? Thanks everyone. :P

Although, I will support fluttiegurl's advice. If you can get up to $2800 I think you could do much better. Handmade flutes [even at entry level] play circles around machine made flutes. [Sonare is a machine made flute with a handcut headjoint, so if you could get up to the $2800 mark, I would reco...

Are there any noticable difference betwen sonare sf5000&

Are there any noticeable difference between sonare sf-5000 and 7000 ? For example, the timbre, feeling and response etc. I played the sf-5000, both the price and quality is quite satisfying. The price of sf-7000 is about one fold of the 5000 one. I would like to ask those who tried them before, so I...

That was very interesting! I would have commented earlier, but for some reason, my computer wouldnt play the video. It was very nice! You seldom see people play the recorder seriously beyond elementary school. Some people dont consider it a *real* instrument, but it most certainly is. It has its ow...

Does anyone have one of it?
How do you feel about it, with the gold stopper and cork in a headjoint?
