Re: Introduction and Armstrong 80 Question

Most doublers would find this flute to be a very fine instrument, if in good shape. It is, after all, all about the sound. Play on.

Swallow before you start and when you can as you play. Over time it will become part of your method.

Re: How to Clean Muramatsu Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

I've just thrown them in the wash as needed, you know, when the dirt starts to accumulate. I still have microfiber cloths (called ranger rags in the Army) that are still effective after 20 years of use. Here is a reference: http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-Microfiber

I have so many piano books that I use for play-alongs. This is a much nicer collection. Thanks!

This should be required reading for any flute player and their parents who purchase instruments for their kids. Nicely done.

There are two on eBay for around $1400 in good condition. I guess it would depend upon how much you hope to get from the sale?

Re: New Yamaha Intermediate Flutes

Our shop got a bunch in on clearance. http://stores.ebay.com/quinntheeskimo-V ... maha+flute

They are lovely instruments and so far have been selling briskly. I'm not sure if it was word of mouth or the availability of discounted prices that made them so popular.

If you get it right, you might have this instrument for the rest of your life. Otherwise, name-brand instruments have a higher resell price if you choose to ...

And the denial to yourself that you are actually sick is high. Fortunately this doesn't happen too much and for some of us we have such lovely and talented friends who would step in at a moments notice and, in my case, do a better job. Hang tough, these things happen.
