Yep, with time and practice you will find that you are able to produce a tone without rolling your flute in. Rolling in can lead to poor tone and technique (I still fall into this some times when I'm tired and trying to hit higher notes). Keep practicing and talk to your teacher - get them to look a...

My morning playing is SO much better than my afternoon or evening playing. I put this down to fatigue later on and also having more food in my belly, making less room for air :p Mostly fatigue, though and my head is clearer having not yet accumulated all the worries of the day!
