Yes, it is annoying to have this problem when you had a teacher. My only advice would be to drill just those notes and around them. Try diffent scales but concentrate on just doing around those notes. Up from them, down from them, and back up over them. Maj, min, chrom, in thirds, in an arpeggio. Pl...
