Are there any other makers of headjoints other than Altus that make this type of cut.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year.

Re: Question about flute value - solid silver, Gemeinhardt

Is it an open holed flute...does it have a B-Foot.....The model # would be most important to know. Once you have this info you can do a search on Ebay under "sold" listings and see what pri...

Re: Alto Sax Question
After all was said and done I ended up buying a pristine Yamaha YAS-26. I got what I thought was a good price on it.

I have developed a really good relationship with my local brick and mortar and they secured a Pearl 201 for me to try. It came with both a straight and curved head joint. They (Music and Arts)are and have been very accommodating.......they know they will eventually get the sale. Here is my evaluatio...

Playing saxophone will compromise your flute embouchure? I doubled for many years and what I experienced was this: If I was at a gig and played a lot of sax early in the evening by the time I picked up my flute, my embouchure was compromised. In my search for an Alto flute I am coming across Trever James flutes. How does their alto flute compare to the Pearl 201?

Re: Buying a Yamaha YFL881H Flute
I am not familiar with that particular model. But if you are going to spend that kind of money you might want to check out some other flute manufactures ie. Altus, Pearl, Murimatsu (sp?) Mirizawa. There are many good flutes in that price range.

Phineas,
Thanx for your input. I respect and value it. As it turns out, I didn't buy the horn because of mechanical issues and I want one that plays out of the box.
