Gemeinhardts
When did Gemeinhardt's quality fall? I know they used to have a reputation for really solid good instruments, but now there are a lot of complaints about weak mechanisms and fuzzy sound. Does anyone know what changed to cause this decline in quality?

Re: Piccolos under $500?

It's currently retailing for $549 on their website. My only concern at that price point is durability, but I haven't been able to find a...

Atsui?
Has anyone tried one of Altus's Atsui models? From what I've read it just sounds like they plated a flute with a more expensive metal to up price/desirability/etc. Is it really all it's hyped up to be?

Step up flute??
Hi all! I just joined and am looking for advice on purchasing my first step-up flute. I'm currently playing in my high school's band, and am wanting to join the local youth symphony next year. I'm currently playing a Jupiter 507 student flute. It's a good flute, but my teacher thought I overpowered ...
