Re: I need a new flute so which one?
Thank You! That is quite smart, I would have never thought to do that, Thank you for the suggestion I think I will try to use it. The thing is since the Powell Sonare has more solid silver for almost 1500$ less i don't think I can justify buying the Yamaha, especially since it seems that Powell soon...

Is this flute beyond repair
Its a 25 year professional Gemeinhardt flute its in REALLY bad shape. The head joint is in perfect condition but you can't press down the keys, some keys are FALLING OFF, the flute is so bent up you can't even put it together. Would it costs more to repair than to replace it? And if it would, since ...

Re: I need a new flute so which one?
The third flute was a Miyazawa 102, but I took it off because it docent have a solid silver body and foot joint, just silver head. You see, I was asking this because I am buying it online as there are NO decent Music stores within 1000 miles of my house in which I can go and try a bunch of flutes. Bu...

Re: I need a new flute so which one?
I think I am going to get the powell sonare 601 since the only differences between the 601 and 705 are the appointed key arms, white gold springs, and a $400 more price tag. If I was able to get the Aurumite 9K Gold Headjoint would it really actually make a difference in sound quality or should I ju...

Re: Taiwan Flute
is it a flute like this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revere-Stradolin-Silver-Plated-Flute-Rare-/152042048722 Considering i have never heard of the brand and I can't find anything on google about it, its either probably really old or really cheap. Take it down to your local music store to get a COA(c...

Re: Need help on buying a new flute
I agree with JButky, Azumi is a good brand of flute for a fairly good price. But really, a C foot joint doesn't matter a flute not being to be able to play the most rare notes on flute really does not matter, the chances you will actually need this are pretty slim. But when I looked on Fluteworld th...

Re: Is this a good student flute?
Never ever buy a used flute from eBay, places like Fluteworld.com would be okay, but as a general rule you should never buy a flute without trying it previously or being able to return it. Never, ever buy a used flute from eBay, craigslist, or a newspaper, etc without being absolutely positive the f...

Re: Popular songs in letter/note format for easy reading :)
Hey! You know, I don't know any songs in that format, but its really hard to read music in letter form because you can't see how long each :D note lasts. I understand that music reading and theory isn't easy, but you should go on ahead and get it over with and learn how to read music. Here are some ...

I need a new flute so which one?
Hey! I have been playing flute for two years now and I'm pretty good for my age (going into 8th grade). Anyway, over the summer I plan on buying a new flute, I'm currently looking at Yamaha 600 series and Powell Sonare 705. My budget is about 3500.(my dad isn't too happy about that so if its cheaper...
