what grade am I???

...no... my highschool plays stuff that blows that away. Our music is hard. In 8th grade, we were always taken for a 9th or tenth grade band. 250 beats per minute is nothing and...b flat scale...?ooo you're mighty now... my point is private schools don't have any musical advantage as far as I know..

if you can, I'd rather invest in a cheap used piccolo. Why? Because doubling on picc is not only awesome, but it's smaller size will aid you well in marching band! And if it rainds you can just slip it up your sleve. They also make a louder,higher octave sound and stick out more. ACtually, I;d suges...

help with brand names for piccolo purchase!!

DO NOT, I repeat,do NOT buy any of those brands you just listed! They are all cheap indian/chinese brands that will not give you a good tone,usually break within a week, and you will NOT be happy! It's a common thing with instruments on Ebay, I experienced the same issues in my search for a good tro...

I've had, and still have, a
Gemeinhardt M2. Typical student flute. However, I find playing on any other
brand is strange to me and I wouldn't give mine up for anything! Such an
investment tho,they aren't cheap...

Chair Postions

We don't have chair positions anymore now that I'm in
high school, but in middle school they used to say it'd be something random out
of the pieces we were playing for our concert and to practice them. I never had
trouble-I held a steady second chair since 7th grade, in 6th I was first.
