[Review] Philipp Hammig wooden flute (658/2/R)

Hi everyone! I have been playing my Phillip Hammih wooden flute for 7 months today, so I wanted to write a short sitrep. I played on a Yamaha 281 for around 12 years, and last year, in august, I figured out I needed something better. My dream flute has always been a wooden one, so I took my car and ...

Re: Searching for new music!

Hello jspach , I am actually learning on the Paganini's 24 Caprices, arranged by Patrick Gallois. Okay, that is an etude, but maybe you should listen to it. It's... a hell of a masterpiece. You could pick one of the 24. I think each one is challenging. I made a playlist for you! My personal favourit...

Re: One more topic about eBay flutes... wooden ones that time!

I am not sure I will buy this SR flute... If yes, I'll let you know how it feels. Never had any wooden flute myself, one of my first flute teacher had one. What I know is that I'm really willing to get one, all the while knowing the pros and cons of a such precious and fragile instrument :) ... But ...

One more topic about eBay flutes... wooden ones that time!

Hello everyone, I am definitely about to buy a Hammig Wooden grenadilla flute, but I play in a lot of Jazz concert/bands, where I would not bring a 10k$ flute... So I thought I would use my old Yamaha for outdoor events. However, yesterday, I was being curious, and I found a lot of StarRiver (chines...

Pain in the left index

Alright, I have a little thing to ask to you : did you have this kind of pain too? Here is a small picture to show the exact location of my pain : https://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/791977Wijsvinger.jpg It's just before the articulation. I always had this pain (for 10 years), but it's becoming harder...

Pockocmoc, introducing myself.

Hello everyone. I'm French (my english is not perfect, sorry for that!). I have played the flute for 12 years now, and I only ever had my good old Yamaha 281 (yeah I know... time to look for something better  ). I started on my 6th school grade. During my first 4 years, I almost only played Ja...
