If I had to choose a flute from that list, then I’d only consider the Yamaha.

The X-Y configuration you mention is an industry standard, and I love Rode mics. They’re very quiet for the money. I do understand what you mean about the set up times, if you’re feeling lazy. The Emperor flutes are pretty basic from what little I know about them. Personally, I’d recommend paying the extra for a student Yamaha 212. It’s a great instrument to begin with.

The Trevor Wye books 1-6 are very good. However, I would suggest seeing a teacher, at least during the formative stages, even if it's once a month, as it'll help you progress quicker, and prevent you developing bad habits.
