Yes, it sort of clicked while I was thinking about it earlier on.

What do you do when pieces aren't marked with an indicated speed? I'm ok if I already know the piece I'm having a go at, but if I don't know it I find it hard to pick up on how it should probably sound.

How do these correspond to settings on a metronome - particularly the online one on here? (Hopefully that isn't a particularly daft question!)

Right, I have a £100 budget to buy a second-hand flute to learn on (according to hubby) - what sort of thing should I be going for?

Its an Odyssey like Nas's (although second-hand) - I mostly bought it just to have a play around and see if I could still do it, and apparently I can now play A B G B flat C and F. I can play some of the songs in the Abracadabra book, so thats's a good start I guess, but it doesn't sound like a good...

Hmmm...I dunno - still think there's something wrong with the thing. I'm playing notes and hubby is playing the same note on his keyboard and they're not the same!
